Ok, quick fix...go to your Gallery Settings and edit the Recent Images gallery and set "Images per page" to 0. I'll see if I can get them both to work together. This is a result of switching paging to only retrieve the # of images needed to display in your gallery in the database query...so PhotoSmash should use considerably less memory on sites with lots of images.

Thanks for the suggestion on email notifications...there's a plugin for BBPress that does something like what you're asking, but I think you have to subscribe to the topic...but better than nothing.
