If you have the ability to try out this next release of PhotoSmash in a test system, it would be a great help to the community here!

This is an important release for users with a Large set of images and users who use the Attachment Page Link features.

--- The way Paging is done has been completely revamped...MAJOR CHANGE! A number of optimizations have been undertaken to use less memory and query the database less, though they will be more apparent to users with > 500 images in a Gallery. The Demo Gallery on this site uses 5Mb LESS RAM than before as a result of the Paging optimization, primarily because the SQL query that selects images returns 25 images now while it was returning 894 images before.

Lots of changes in this release...some of them kind of major as I start preparing the code for a reorganization/rewrite. As I mentioned in a recent blog post, I want to focus on making PhotoSmash pretty on the inside as well as the outside ;-) and that means some reworking of the code.

Please test if you can. There are a few nice new features that you can read about in the Changelog ( http://smashly.net/photosmash-galleries/change-log/ ).
