Great plugin, thanks. I am using the "Gallery Viewer Page" setting instead of inserting short code into my page. I am wondering if there is a way to manually order the gallery thumbnails?

Because this is a Virtual Gallery (it gets its images on the fly) you cannot set the manual order. You can use the other sort options in Gallery Settings (edit the Gallery Viewer gallery), but those probably won't help.
