  1. Well... I like this very much, but I should say I'm terribly lost. I tried for hours... Isn't it a step-by-step guide of how to use it properly? I'm sorry, but "how-to" is pretty undetailed, the forum has very specific topics and the info in old comments...
Would appreciate a beginners deep help.
    Thanks!!

  2. It's on my list of things to do. Seriously. But there is so little time for that.

    Here's the basics:

Just add this shortcode to a Post:

You should wind up with a gallery. If you're admin, you should see Add Photo. You can upload photos while viewing the post.

To let anyone upload, first make sure you view the post with that shortcode in it so that it creates the gallery for you. Then go to WordPress Admin, go to Gallery Settings. Select your Gallery in the DropDown. Click edit. Then on the Uploading tab, change the minimum role to whatever you want it to be for uploading. Then save it.

    That should work.

  3. I understand. Thanks for the answer.
When u say add the code to the post, where exactly?
I try to add a gallery, I create a gallery and upload photo one by one from the post?
I only can see add photo whet I set off automatic add on, but then Its in all posts...
I have the photosmash as well as a widget in the sidebar. Would be great to hace all galleries in it..
And the most important: when I have a gallery, can I see this wonderfull slideshow you have in your demo? Or should I intall colorbox, lightbox, etc?
As you can see many questions...
    Thanks for the help.

  4. I will give you a little help...

1- when you create a post, on the area where you normally write the post, you add wherever you fill like this --> [photosmash id=X] where the "X" is the ID of the gallery. You can find the Id of the gallery on PhotoSmash Gallery Settings (on the wordpress admin area) and from the dropdown menu you will see the ID number on the side of the name of the gallery. After that you should see the gallery on the post.

2- Yes, you add a gallery and you add the photos one by one from the post.

3- If you correctly did the step one on this answer you should see the "Add Photo" with automatic add on "off". Your problem is just happening because you doing wrong the step one.

4- I am not sure but I think that if you set on the widgets the Gallery Type as "normal" and don't change the other options, you should get all pictures in there.

5- Yes, to see that wonderful slideshow you must install some kind of lightbox, my suggestion is for you to install "shadowbox".

    Have fun!

  5. Thanks a lot, John.
You were right. I fix it. Now I can see the gallery in my post.
About the widget, if I set it in "normal", all the images dissappear. If I have it in "random", by the moment I can see my gallery. I hope when I will have more, it would work as chosing pictures at random...
I checked Shadowbox, and it looks gorgeous. I will follow your advice.
But, for install and make it work with photosmash, I'm afraid I should ask professional help...
I tried, but not succeed. Maybe it's too much for me.. jeje.
    Greeting!!!

  6. miseropropero - how did you get on? im trying to claw my way thru the set up too and Byron has given some very good tips to getting it almost there. I can tell you that I've installed shadowbox - thru the plugin menu. I havent done anything special except inside the "photosmash" admin ive found my gallery and under Gallery Settings ive changed "lightbox[album]" to "shadowbox[album]

And hey presto the slideshow now pops up when you click the "start slideshow" link on the web gallery page.

FYI my gallery is set to Std_Widget

hope you didnt give up :) its a nice gallery!
