Extend is not needed for that.</p> <p>Search is only "AND" at this time...it looks for all images that contain all of the search terms in one of the searched fields - caption, url, attribution, tag, or user login. So, if you searched on: Ruth Jack, it would only show images that have both Ruth AND Jack in those fields (it could be Ruth in the Caption and Jack in the Tag, but it'd have to have both). You would need Extend if you wanted to Search on tags and show a gallery based on searches. I have recently set up a website for relatives on my mother's side, the Gureasko family (www.gureasko.com). We have a genealogy, lots of emails about famiy history, and a smattering of photos that have been uploaded to Picasa or Flickr.</p> <p>It looks like your plugin will allow family members to add photos on their own (lightening my admin chores), and allow galleries to be set up. However, the thing that excites me is the option for the photos to be tagged (for example, with a person's name, such as Ruth, my mother) and for a family member / visitor to use a search box and type in "Ruth" and see photos that have Ruth in them. It allows you to set up an insert an Insert Set that can be attached to a gallery. It would let you add as many different inserts as you like, with settings for: a) which image to start with; b) how many images to skip between inserts (e.g. do an insert every 3rd image or every other image, etc); c) how many inserts total per page (setting to 0 will loop the inserts to the end)...this is already built and working (as seen in SavorySights.com).</p> <p>2) Ability to create posts with uploads. This is going to let you create Post templates (similar to Custom Forms or Custom Layouts). It will then do replacements in the post based on the fields (custom and standard) that were uploaded. You will be able to insert the image you have uploaded using a replacement, you will be able to create new galleries (probably using another gallery as a template), and insert them where ever.</p> <p>Part of the beauty of this will be that you will be able to use custom layouts in your created posts so they won't be set in stone...you'll be able to adjust all similar posts by just updating the layouts. You'd also be able to use multiple layouts as needed.</p> <p>Hopefully it will solve a problem for some folks.</p> <p>If you've got some ugly, hairy, items on your list let me know and I'll try to help.
