Oh...Please use the forums instead of comments...I'm actually trying to shut down comments because I can't keep track of where all the comments come into otherwise ;-) The forums keep everything in one place, at least.

Cheers,
Byron

Hi erwin,

Thanks for the compliment!

I can't imagine what is going on with Shopping Cart. PhotoSmash uses the normal Thickbox function, so I'm thinking they have probably hi-jacked that javascript function and are doing something on the event.

One thing you might try is to turn off the Thickbox and just let the form show up on the page...you can either have it hidden and show it on clicking the Add Photo link or you can have it showing all the time.

Cheers,
Byron

Hi there,

somehow I have a problem, that clicking the add photo button, will give me the add photo screen but with 2x all the inputfields and buttons. If I close the window (with the x instead of by clicking 'done') the next time i click add photo, the entire window is empty.

I disabled the wp e-commerce shopping cart plugin and then the add photo box works like normal again. I will post this too with the shopping cart developer (WordPress Shopping Cart by Instinct Entertainment) for support, but thought i might mention it here to see if anything can be done from within photosmash (which totally rocks by the way ;) ).

Perhaps if there was a plugin to enhance the WP media library to have subfolders, and then be able to select a subfolder for a particular library.

Alternately, I find that if your plugin's image manager page could search the media library by a part of the file name, which the media library itself can do, then one could search for images that way. I would be able to search for filenames including certain text, just as it does, and then select them all and put them in a gallery. My file names are all like "textabc001, textabc002" and so forth. I could search for "textabc" and this would work perfectly. What do you think? Can you maybe add that sort of search? It would be super for sites with lots of images to organize with your plugin.

Eric,

Sorry, but multiple upload directly to galleries has not been uploaded. There are some difficulties around this.

I would have said NextGen would be your best bet, but it sounds like that's not working for you.

The Media Gallery option isn't too bad, give that you can do a mass upload and the Import Photos page has ability to choose photos that are not in the gallery..and a select all button.

Cheers,
Byron

Duh. Nevermind, found it. Still, it would be great if there were a way to upload directly to a gallery. I will have hundreds of pics eventually. As it is, I'm not sure I can use this due to the extra work of manually selecting certain pictures. If you aren't going to add that ability can you recommend another gallery? I tired NexGen and it isn't functioning correctly.

PS: I would like to be able to upload them directly to a gallery rather than have to sort through the WP media library. Not sure what you have planned. Thanks. Looks good so far.

Has this multiple upload been added yet? I have dozens of pics for each gallery and this would make your plugin worthwhile for me.

Hi Rich,

You have to view the post like an end user would...there should be an Add Photo link above the gallery.
